It was good to do some photography for Urban Realm Magazine of the completed Govan / Partick bridge and have watched with interest as the structure has been engineered into position, and action. Building a bridge is undoubtedly a good thing for Govan and the wider city, offering connections, celebrating the waterfront with improved access along the Clyde. Zaha Hadid’s Riverside Museum has drawn people to the edge of the River since its opening, and it is great that the new bridge built by Farrans will connect across the water. It felt good to walk across within a few days of the official opening, and using a drone was ideal here to get some wider views and video. The River will also open up and improve access to Govan Old church and for people to visit The Govan Stones, an incredible collection of early medieval sculpted stones.
