Getting the light right in architectural photography
Here’s a selection of a few images taken in the last year. Natural light is what I want to highlight here, the importance of getting the light right to photograph a building and how it’s key in pretty much every photo I take. Photos show an image from a range of projects commissioned during 2019 ranging in scale from a small house extension in Dumfries & Galloway to the ‘Three Graces’ on Liverpools waterfront.

An interesting and diverse line up of nominees, this write up focuses on the art of collaborative efforts to animate and confront under utilised and neglected urban space in rebuilding and creating new futures for a place.
