An interesting commission initially for a render contractor, and then subsequently revisiting for the design team, architects Anderson Bell+ Christie, contractor CCG and housing provider, Wheatley Group. New housing was built quickly using an off-site construction timber-kit system, which has provided an innovative model for future housing projects. Working on site at two stages for clients with different requirements, I got to spend a couple of days on site and it was clear residents were happy and delighted with their new homes. The landscaping was more complete on my second visit and really makes this development stand out with much of the terraced housing fronting landscaped courtyards, with parking concealed behind gardens, at the back of properties. It is always refreshing to see views of residential architecture and landscaping uninterrupted by vehicles; as well as not having to jostle with drivers for clear views of a project!
