Getting the light right

Here’s a selection of a few images taken in the last year. Natural light is what I want to highlight here, the importance of getting the light right to photograph a building and how it’s key in pretty much every photo I take. Photos show an image from a range of projects commissioned during 2019 ranging in scale from a small house extension in Dumfries & Galloway to the ‘Three Graces’ on Liverpools waterfront.

Amongst the winners this year that encompass a range of scales and purposes is a temporary project by Edo Architecture, photographed at its public illumination event on the Water Row area of Govan.
