Maryhill Burgh Halls

The refurbishment of Maryhill Burgh Halls, has been commended on many fronts, restoring a sense of place and vibrant community, work, and leisure facility to the area. Designed by JM architects the project attracted £9m of investment and was awarded a prize for best contribution to Urban Regeneration in Scotland through use of European  Funds. I have a flat very near this building and watched the project take shape on site forming a great addition to Maryhill.  Once complete I wanted to get some shots and i used my time in the building with a camera to practice arranging furniture, positioning props and some after dark shots with the ‘Journey Men’ sculptures by Matt Baker and Dan Dubovitz  drawing attention to the project. More of my non commissioned work amongst other shots are on my Flickr photo stream
